The Perlin Texture node defines a procedural Perlin texture.

Procedure

To define a Perlin procedural texture:

  1. On the left toolbar choose Texture Nodes > Perlin Texture. Textures icon > Perlin Texture icon

  2. Drag the Perlin Texture icon into the Node Graph.

  3. Adjust the attributes of the Perlin Texture node.

Preview

Procedural textures are not displayed in the Image Viewport. To preview procedural images use the Texture Preview window, and to convert them to raster images use the Render Texture node.
