Surface Reaction Diffusion node

Left Toolbar > 3D icon Mesh Nodes > Surface Reaction DiffusionSurface Reaction Diffusion

The Surface Reaction Diffusion node runs a simulation of two virtual chemicals reacting and diffusing on the 3D surface using the Gray-Scott model.

For more information about surfaces see surface workflow.

Procedure

To run the Gray-Scott simulation on a Surface:

  1. On the left toolbar choose Mesh Nodes > Surface Reaction Diffusion. Mesh icon > Surface Groups icon
  2. Connect the Surface Reaction Diffusion node to a Surface value and an Image value.

Image B
A surface image that represents the concentrations of chemical B before the simulation is run.

Outputs

Surface
The surface value.

Image A
A surface image that represents the concentrations of chemical A after the simulation is run.

Image B
A surface image that represents the concentrations of chemical B after the simulation is run.
