Surface Group Dilate
The Surface Group Dilate takes as input a surface image with groups (see Surface Groups node) and dilates the groups into the empty space between them. The empty space is Group 0.
This node can be used with the Surface Group Erode to reshape the groups.

Surface image with dilated groups.
Procedure
To dilate the groups on a Surface:
- On the left toolbar choose Mesh Nodes > Surface Group Dilate. >
- Connect the Surface Group Dilate node to a Surface value and an Image value.

Attributes Panel
Amount
The amount to dilate on each iteration.
Random
A clamp value that controls if a surface pixel is dilated or not based on a random number.
Seed
Seed for the random generator
Iterations
Number of iterations the dilation process is applied.
